We’re taking on Horror Westerns, ranging from the 1930’s through the present day. Our spotlight focuse on, perhaps, the best horror western: High Plains Drifter. So saddle up and join us as we tour dusty, tumbleweed filled towns of terror…

We try to salvage it the best we can with somewhat surprising positivity! Jeff digs the Lindsay Lohan giallo-esque I Know Who Killed Me and I give the thumbs up to the critically panned Mirrors by Alexandre Aja. We also do our own Point/Counterpoint type discussion on whether or not it is okay to “tamper” with another person’s artwork. Jeff says yea, I say nea. What say you?
Episode 90: The X-Files Episode

This week week’s episode is all about The X-Files.We chat about some of our favorite episodes and expound on why we loved this show so much. But the best part is that longtime listener Explodey Jo accompanies us on our rambling journey as a guest co-host live from England (at 3 in the morning on a workday, no less). She and I then have a heated argument over the quality of the newest X-Files movie that almost turns into an international incident. Not really, but that would have been sweet. :)

Thanks for being such a trooper Jo. And we hope you can make it into work in a few hours! :)

NOTE: I had to go and delete a ton of archived Splattercast episodes since we ran out of space on pod-o-matic. Visit http://www.deadlantern.com for the full archives of the Splattercast

And it isn't pretty.

This week we review a bunch of short screeners we received but its mainly just Deejay's whirlpool of drunkeness.

Episode 80: The Linnea Quigley Special

A very happy birthday to Ms. Quigley who has now graced us with half a century on this earth! She’s older than our moms!

In this episode we happily invite Splattercast listener Paul in as a co-host for winning the Splatterpiece Theatre segment. Like the ungracious hosts we are, we talk so much that he barely gets a word in edgewise. Sorry Paul! We also pimp our listener Stuart’s band Black Helium and play his latest single “Consumed With Doom”, click the link to check em out! After that, we delve into the oeuvre of Linnea Quigley with reviews of Sorority Babes in the Slimeball Bowl-O-Rama and Jack-O while Deejay magically appears about half-way through the cast to tell us what he’d like to do to a 50 year old woman.

Once again, thanks to Paul for putting up with our unprepared shenanigans and for the kind words about TGH, it was fun!
